About Andover Economics Society
The Andover Economics Society is a vibrant student organization established in 2006, dedicated to exploring economics beyond the classroom. Over the years, the society has made its mark by participating in esteemed competitions like the Harvard Economics Challenge and initiating student-led research projects on diverse economic topics. The society’s mission centers on fostering curiosity, collaboration, and a deeper understanding of economics among students. Through events, workshops, and projects, the society aims to inspire students to think critically about economic issues and discover innovative solutions that apply to real-world scenarios.
The Andover Economics Review
The Andover Economics Review is a groundbreaking initiative by the Andover Economics Society, marking the creation of the first high school economics journal designed for and by high school students. Funded by a generous grant from the Abbot Academy Fund, the journal aligns closely with the Fund’s core values of boldness, innovation, and caring. This funding has enabled the Society to bring its vision to life, supporting essential costs such as professional printing and distribution while fostering a space for creative and impactful student work.
With its emphasis on collaboration, diversity of thought, and accessibility, the Andover Economics Review provides a platform for students to explore a wide range of topics through the lens of economics. From analyzing global markets to investigating local policies, the journal empowers students to pursue their unique interests and contribute original insights to the broader discourse. The first issue is available in print and on our website
